Back to School Celebration of Rhode Island is taking place at 12 locations across RI
August 15th, 2026, from 10am – 1pm
Packing Day (prefilling backpacks with supplies and packing for site distribution)
July 15, 2026, from 8am – 12P at Sodexo Warehouse (*lunch provided).
If you are interested in volunteering for Packing Day (July 17th) or at the Back to School Celebration (August 15th) please complete this Volunteer Registration Form.
If your organization would like to sign up to be a vendor at the event complete the Vendor Registration Form

The Back to School of Rhode Island (BTSRI) is a 501 C3 non-profit organization created to involve parents in the education of their children, thereby helping to create an atmosphere of trust and open communication between schools, students and families. In 1999, BTSRI organized its first event in one single location and distributed 600 backpacks full of school supplies to school children in the Providence area.
